Professional wrestling has given us plenty of ridiculous gimmicks over the years. Undertakers. Clowns. Zombie morticians. A guy whose entire personality was basically just yelling “WHAT?”
But every once in a while the internet blesses us with something so perfectly stupid that it loops all the way back around to genius.
Enter indie wrestler Luigi Primo.
Yes, the guy whose entire gimmick is being a pizza chef inside a wrestling ring.
A new clip from a 2026 indie match making the rounds online shows Primo doing what he does best: spinning pizza dough like he’s auditioning for a job at a Naples street corner pizzeria… and then absolutely flattening his opponent with a pizza pie.
Ten seconds. That’s the whole clip.
Dough spin. Crowd confused—pizza toss. Opponent drops as if he gets hit with a folding chair.
Match over.
If you somehow missed the Luigi Primo phenomenon, the Naples-born wrestler has been grinding on the indie scene since around 2014, building a character that’s basically half professional wrestler, half Italian restaurant commercial.
The whole thing really exploded back in 2022 when footage of Primo casually spinning pizza dough mid-match went viral. The internet immediately ate it up, pun absolutely intended.
Turns out people love two things: wrestling and carbs.
Primo’s gimmick was originally shaped with help from trainer Jay Serious, and since then the pizza-slinging wrestler has turned the bit into a full-blown brand.
We’re talking merch, appearances, and a growing social following, including more than 162,000 followers on Instagram.
