Terrifying surveillance footage has captured the moment a gunman opened fire inside a high school in Siverek, leaving 16 people injured in a shocking attack that sent students and teachers scrambling for their lives.
The incident unfolded on April 14, 2026, at Ahmet Koyuncu Vocational High School, where an 18-year-old former student entered the building armed with a shotgun and began firing in a crowded hallway.
Footage from inside the school shows scenes of pure chaos as the attacker moves through the corridor, discharging the weapon while students and staff flee in panic. Some can be seen running for cover, while others duck into classrooms in a desperate attempt to escape the gunfire.
Authorities confirmed that 16 people were wounded in the attack, including 10 students, four teachers, a police officer, and a cafeteria worker. Emergency services rushed to the scene as the scale of the incident became clear.
The suspect was later cornered by police inside the school. Officials say he died by suicide before he could be taken into custody.
The motive behind the attack has not yet been fully established, but the fact that the gunman was a former student has raised immediate concerns about security and prior warning signs.
The shocking footage has spread rapidly online, reigniting fears over school safety and the vulnerability of students and staff in what should be secure environments.
As the investigation continues, the community in Siverek has been left reeling, with many struggling to come to terms with how such a violent attack could unfold inside a school corridor in broad daylight.
