Shocking security footage from a Brazilian wholesale store has captured the dramatic moment employees fought back against two armed robbers — with one worker using a machete to overpower one of the suspects during the violent confrontation.
The footage, which has gone viral online, shows two men entering the business allegedly intending to steal cash from the store.
But instead of complying, several employees immediately launched a fierce counterattack.
The video shows one worker grabbing what appears to be a large machete before repeatedly striking one of the suspects during the struggle, seemingly injuring the robber’s arm as chaos erupts inside the store.
At the same time, other employees can be seen wrestling the second suspect to the ground and restraining him as customers and staff scatter around the premises.
The violent encounter unfolded within seconds.
According to reports accompanying the footage, one of the suspects was arrested at the scene and later jailed, while the second robber — who suffered serious injuries during the altercation — remains hospitalized.
Authorities have not publicly disclosed the full extent of his injuries.
The video has since spread rapidly across social media, where many viewers praised the workers for defending themselves against the armed men in what some described as an increasingly dangerous crime environment.
Brazil has long struggled with high rates of armed robbery and violent theft in certain regions, leading some business owners and employees to take extreme measures to protect themselves and their livelihoods.

Despite the danger, the employees ultimately succeeded in overpowering both men before authorities arrived.
