Guy Shows Up Late to McDonald’s On His First Day Of Work, Starts Filming Manager Like He’s Exposing Watergate
33 days ago
A viral video has the internet absolutely roasting a young man who documented himself arriving roughly 10 minutes late to a McDonald’s orientation session before claiming the manager became “hostile” when he and another late employee started asking questions.
According to the clip, the orientation was scheduled from 4 to 6pm, with the guy even overlaying screenshots of his McHire orientation email for proof.
But instead of quietly taking the L for being late on literally Day One of employment, he decided to start filming inside the restaurant while narrating his side of the drama like he was uncovering corruption at City Hall.
The video shows him sitting at a table with a laptop, panning around the McDonald’s interior and talking about how management was allegedly treating staff.
At one point, he even starts making phone calls while continuing to record inside the restaurant.
And the internet’s reaction was basically unanimous:
Brother... you were late to orientation.
Not your third week. Not after years of loyal service. Orientation.
Most commenters sided heavily with the manager, arguing that showing up late to your very first day already screams “future scheduling nightmare.”
Others pointed out that immediately recording coworkers and management for social media somehow made the situation even worse.
One commenter wrote, “Getting fired from McDonald’s speedrun any%.”
Another said, “Late on Day One and filming TikToks instead of apologizing is insane behavior.”
And honestly, they’re not wrong.
There are very few moments in life where punctuality matters more than the first day of a new job.
Managers aren’t exactly looking for excuses when somebody can’t make it on time before they’ve even started working.
But the real kicker is that the guy seemingly thought the solution was to document the entire thing online instead of simply accepting responsibility and moving on.
