Two Thieves On A Motorcycle Tried To Rob This Truck As It Drove Down The Road, One Hard Brake Took Care Of Both Of Them
36 days ago
A grainy nighttime video making the rounds online has people applauding a truck driver who allegedly ended a motorcycle theft attempt with one perfectly timed slam of the brakes.
The footage, captured from a rear-facing camera mounted on the truck, shows multiple men on a motorcycle speeding up behind the trailer in what viewers say appears to be an attempted robbery or cargo theft.
As the bike closes in, at least one of the suspects seems to move toward the truck as if preparing to climb aboard the moving trailer.
That plan lasted about two seconds.
The driver suddenly hits the brakes hard, instantly turning the entire robbery attempt into a live-action physics demonstration.
The motorcycle riders are violently thrown forward into the back of the trailer before tumbling onto the roadway in complete chaos.
The attempted theft effectively ends on impact.
Social media users immediately flooded the comments praising the truck driver for reacting quickly and using the simplest possible solution to stop the suspects.
One commenter wrote, “Newton’s Laws remain undefeated.”
Another joked, “That brake pedal deserves defensive player of the year.”
The clip has gone viral largely because of how abruptly the situation flips from what looks like a coordinated robbery attempt into a slapstick disaster.
Instead of climbing aboard the truck action-movie style, the suspects essentially launched themselves straight into the trailer thanks to momentum doing all the work.
Cargo theft and motorcycle-based robberies are a major issue in parts of the world where criminals target moving trucks at night, often attempting to climb onto trailers while vehicles are still in motion.
