Every parent on Earth has their own method for calming down a screaming baby. Some people use white noise. Some use lullabies. Some spend $400 on gadgets designed by Scandinavian engineers who promise your newborn will sleep like it just finished a spa retreat in Iceland.
This guy skipped all of that and went straight to Metallica.
A viral video making the rounds online shows a shirtless man holding a crying newborn dressed in a tiny dinosaur onesie while “Ride The Lightning” plays in the background. The baby starts the clip absolutely losing it, screaming at a level that every parent instantly recognizes as “nothing I’m doing is working right now.”
Then something incredible happens.
As the music keeps playing, the kid slowly starts calming down, almost like Metallica just activated sleeper-agent programming hidden deep inside the baby’s DNA. The crying softens, the panic disappears, and before long, the newborn is just sitting there quietly looking around the room like it suddenly remembered taxes exist and life is temporary.
