OXON HILL, Md. — A gutsy former Marine put his combat training to lethal use Wednesday afternoon when four teens tried to stick him up at gunpoint while he unloaded his work truck, only to get their clocks cleaned and slapped in cuffs.
Surveillance video captured the shocking June 3 showdown near Oxon Hill High School, where the brave service member, identified as Jheyco Borda, refused to play victim.
One of the punks whipped out a firearm and demanded his cash in a classic smash-and-grab gone wrong. Borda didn’t flinch. In a lightning-fast blur of hand-to-hand moves drilled into him by the Corps, he disarmed the gunman during a wild struggle.
A shot rang out, blasting into Borda’s truck, but miraculously, no one was hit.
Borda’s brother jumped in to help pin down the crew of four until Prince George’s County cops rolled up. All four suspects were hauled off in cuffs and remain behind bars.
No official police report has dropped yet, but the viral footage tells the whole story: a pack of young hoodlums picking the wrong target in a neighborhood already plagued by youth crime.
