PHOENIX — Talk about a senior ditch day disaster.

An 18-year-old Arizona high school grad is suing the parents of a classmate after he got hammered at a raucous pool party, attempted a front flip off the roof, and ended up with a concussion and a chunk of his ear torn clean off.

Blake Barnes claims he was among more than 100 teens swilling booze at the Ahwatukee home of Megan and Brandon Spencer on April 13 when the booze-fueled stunt went horribly wrong, according to the lawsuit and shocking video from the scene.

The clip shows shirtless kids lined up on the roof of the two-story house, cheering and filming as Barnes launches himself toward the swimming pool below. He misses the water, slamming his head on the deck instead. Partygoers can be seen reacting as he floats lifeless in the pool until help arrives.

Barnes, who graduated from Desert Vista High School just days later, was rushed to the hospital by ambulance. His blood-alcohol level clocked in at 0.114, roughly 1.5 times the legal limit for driving, court papers say.

The lawsuit blasts the Spencer parents for allegedly knowing their 17-year-old son was hosting the blowout, supplying the alcohol, and doing nothing to stop the chaos. “They knew alcohol would be consumed by minors at the party,” the suit claims. “They did not monitor or control the consumption of alcohol... or the reckless activities of the minors... including jumping off the house roof into the swimming pool.”

Barnes is demanding damages for medical bills, pain and suffering, and emotional distress.
