A depraved monster who beat his 2-year-old stepdaughter to death in a night of savage abuse has met a bloody end behind bars, stabbed more than 30 times in a lightning-fast prison hit that has many cheering "justice served."
Kyle Bevan, 33, the sicko serving life for the horrific 2020 murder of little Lola James, was slaughtered in his cell at maximum-security HMP Wakefield, nicknamed "Monster Mansion", on November 4, 2025. Three fellow lifers allegedly stormed in, turned the place into a slaughterhouse in just 4 minutes and 39 seconds, then casually strolled out looking "satisfied," according to chilling CCTV shown in court.
Bevan's battered body was found the next morning during roll call, tucked up in bed "as if asleep", blood everywhere from devastating stab wounds to his heart, jugular, and aorta. Prosecutors say the killers used makeshift shivs, including a bloodied piece of folded metal and another stashed in a chili sauce bottle.
Mark Fellows, 45, a notorious hitman dubbed "The Iceman", along with David Taylor, 64, and Lee Newell, 57, are on trial at Leeds Crown Court for his murder. All three deny the charges.
Bevan's original evil was pure nightmare fuel. In July 2020, at a home in Haverfordwest, Wales, the drug-fueled brute unleashed a frenzied attack on defenseless Lola while her mom was out or asleep. The tiny girl suffered more than 100 injuries, bruises, puncture wounds, and catastrophic brain damage from repeated blows and shaking, the kind doctors compare to a high-speed car crash.
Instead of calling for help, the coward filmed a disturbing 22-second video trying to prop up her limp body. Lola clung to life for four days before dying. Her mother, Sinead James, got six years for allowing the death.
Judge's sentencing remarks painted Bevan as a remorseless fiend with no mercy for the joyful toddler who "filled the room with pure joy." He got life with a minimum of 28 years.
