A furious California woman hopped out of her red Corvette at a red light, whipped out what looked like a switchblade, and slashed the tires of another driver’s car in a brazen road rage attack, and the whole thing was caught on camera.
The shocking incident went down on June 30 on Artesia Boulevard at Vermont Avenue in Gardena, heading toward the 91/405 freeway entrance. Dashcam footage from a vehicle behind shows the woman in a pink top and denim skirt pulling alongside a dark gray Acura SUV at the light.
She casually exits her flashy sports car, walks over, bends down near the rear tire of the Acura, and viciously slashes it with a sharp object before strolling back like she just ran a quick errand.
The stunned male driver of the SUV, wearing a white T-shirt, gets out to check the damage as the unhinged woman jumps back in her Corvette and speeds off, running straight through the red light.
But she didn’t get away clean. The dashcam clearly captured her California license plate, giving police an easy ID on the tire-slasher.
The victim was left dealing with a flat tire in the middle of heavy traffic while the Corvette driver made her getaway. The footage shows her acting completely unfazed, a detail that has many convinced this wasn’t her first time pulling this stunt.
Southern California roads are no strangers to road rage, but this level of escalation — knife out, tire slashed, red light run, has people demanding swift justice.
Gardena police haven’t publicly confirmed an arrest yet, but with that plate so clearly visible, the “Switchblade Karen” is likely about to have a very bad day.
Don’t mess with other people’s tires, lady. Especially when the whole world is watching.
