Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton has been taken by ambulance to a hospital following a harrowing TikTok livestream that showed the 48-year-old in apparent distress and self-harm, prompting a major police response to his Miami home late Tuesday.
Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s deputies arrived after receiving multiple 911 calls from alarmed viewers. Officers spoke with family members at the scene, confirmed Hilton was alone inside the residence, and initially opted for a careful de-escalation strategy while monitoring the situation. Later Tuesday night into early Wednesday, emergency responders transported a person believed to be Hilton from the property by ambulance for medical evaluation and treatment. Authorities have not released further details on his condition.
Hilton’s representatives at Golden Artists Entertainment said they were aware of the “concerning content circulating online,” had been unable to reach him directly despite ongoing efforts, and that their primary focus remained his health and the well-being of his family. They asked for privacy and declined additional comment until more information is confirmed.
The incident marks another difficult chapter for the longtime gossip kingpin, who is father to three children via surrogacy. Earlier this year, Hilton spent three weeks hospitalized after developing a perforated ulcer and sepsis from taking flu medication on an empty stomach. Weeks later, he required emergency surgery for a massive blood clot in his leg. He later said the ordeal led him to a deeper faith and a renewed commitment to being present for his family.
As of early Wednesday, Hilton’s condition remains private. Law enforcement and his team continue to handle the matter as an ongoing mental-health situation.
