A TLC reality star living with severe Tourette’s syndrome turned her big day into an unforgettable (and unfiltered) moment when involuntary tics crashed the wedding ceremony.
Baylen Dupree, star of “Baylen Out Loud,” walked down the aisle in a sparkling Hayley Paige gown and tiara for her May 9 nuptials to Colin Dooley at a vibrant outdoor setup in Warrenton, Virginia. Pink stage, tons of flowers, 140 guests, the whole fairy-tale package the couple wanted.
Then the tics hit.
As the officiant spoke about the “special occasion” and “special couple,” Baylen’s Tourette’s — which includes coprolalia, the involuntary blurting of swear words and inappropriate phrases — kicked into high gear. Viewers of the season finale footage saw her interrupt with lines like “I’ll f****** fight you mother******,” “Wind it UP!” and the now-viral “Twist my d*** and it is.”
The groom didn’t flinch. Colin, a real estate agent who started dating Baylen after they matched on a dating app in late 2022, stood there emotional but composed, holding her hands through the outbursts. The rest of the party largely rolled with it too, exactly the kind of support the 24-year-old TikTok star (millions of followers) has documented for years while raising awareness about the neurological condition she’s lived with since childhood.
Dupree has been open that stress and being the center of attention can amp up her tics. Wedding planning and the big day itself brought plenty of both. Earlier episodes captured rehearsal chaos with similar shouted obscenities, and family members worried about a full-blown tic attack before she even made it to the altar. Colin has repeatedly said he wants her to just be herself, tics and all, calling her his “medicine” in reverse.
The colorful Virginia bash (queso fountain included, dogs as part of the party) was filmed for the two-part “Baylen Out Loud” Season 3 finale that recently hit TLC. The show has followed her journey from diagnosis struggles to finding a partner who gets it.
In the end, the couple still said “I do.” Baylen has described the day as a fairy tale. Colin called it surreal. And the internet is calling the unfiltered ceremony moments pure reality-TV gold — the kind that makes you laugh, wince, and root for them at the same time.
