A hungry Nashville man decided waiting (or paying) was for suckers, so he reached straight into a blazing pizza oven and helped himself.
Surveillance video from Slim & Husky’s Pizza Beeria shows the unidentified customer in a red tank top and cap leaning over the counter, grabbing a pie right off the conveyor belt as it emerged from the oven. The metal tray can hit 550 degrees. He immediately recoils, drops the pizza on the counter, clenches his fist like he just grabbed a branding iron, then folds the pie, wraps it in a pile of napkins and strolls out the door.
The restaurant posted the clip on Instagram with the caption “who unc is this?” and soundtracked it with Snoop Dogg’s “Drop It Like It’s Hot.” The video exploded online after circulating on X.
It’s still unclear whether the man had already ordered and paid, or if he simply treated the oven like an all-you-can-grab buffet. Staff wasn’t immediately behind the counter when he made his move. Another customer in a white shirt stood nearby and appeared to watch the whole thing go down.
Slim & Husky’s, a Nashville chain known for gourmet pies, leaned into the moment instead of just calling it a smash-and-grab. The clip shows the man grabbing the pizza, dealing with the instant burn, wrapping his prize, and disappearing in under 30 seconds.
Hunger, apparently, doesn’t care about first-degree burns.
