There are levels to the trenches. Then there is a grown man in a Nike hoodie, balaclava, and sunglasses, live-streaming with a pistol in one hand and a goldfish in a grocery bag in the other, telling the internet he will execute the fish unless his token hits a million-dollar market cap.
That is not a bit. That is not satire. That is Pump.fun in 2024, now circulating again because the clip still slaps and the numbers still make people feel sick.
The stream was titled with the kind of honesty that should make regulators cry: 1M MC, OR I KILL FISH [LIVE]. Token name: FISHKILLER. Creator handle floating around as FeFeck. Market cap on screen starts in the tens of thousands. Viewers: a couple hundred degenerates who immediately understood the assignment.
They bought.
Not because they believed in the project. There was no project. They bought because a guy was holding a wet animal hostage, and the only way to call the bluff was to send SOL. The market cap ripped past $7 million. The man walked away with roughly $255,000. The fish did not get shot.
That is the entire business model. Threaten something small and pathetic. Watch strangers panic-buy the bag. Cash out. Post the clip. Repeat until someone actually does something unforgivable on camera and the platform has to pretend it cares.
This is what happens when you take every filter off finance. No listing standards. No adult in the room. Just a live feed, a cheap fish, and a crowd that will pay to keep the bit going. Traditional markets have earnings calls. These guys have a goldfish in a bag and a countdown.
The fish survived. That is the punchline and the indictment. Nobody actually wanted the animal dead. They wanted the clip, the pump, and the story they could send in the group chat. The creator got paid. The buyers got a story. The token did what every other memecoin does after the joke dies: it sat there looking stupid.
The fish deserves a cut. At minimum it should get its own token. Call it $SURVIVOR. Launch it on the same platform. If it does not hit a million, nobody shoots anything. They just let the last remaining shred of dignity float belly-up on its own.
That would still outperform half the coins that launched this week.
