Vegas Showgirls Beat Tourists Bloody After They Refuse To Pay Fifty Bucks A Photo On The Strip

Feathers flew and fists flew harder when a trio of costumed “showgirls” turned a routine Strip photo hustle into a full-on sidewalk brawl after tourists refused to cough up the cash.

The wild scene unfolded around 4:30 p.m. Sept. 30 near a pedestrian escalator by Flamingo Road, where the barely dressed performers, towering purple and blue feather headdresses bouncing with every swing, ganged up on a couple who wouldn’t pay the post-snap shakedown.

Video of the melee shows the women knocking a tourist in white pants to the ground before a shirtless man with a bloodied face wades in to break it up. All three then pile on him. One yanks off a white high heel and starts swinging it like a club while bystanders scramble and film the free Vegas show.

Cops eventually rolled up after the dust and the feathers settled. Two of the impersonators were arrested on battery charges and for obtaining money under false pretenses, according to reports. They’re due back in court Dec. 3.

These aren’t the old-school revue dancers from the days of “Jubilee!” (that show closed in 2016). They’re street characters who pose for selfies, then demand anywhere from $50 to $100 a head once the pictures are snapped, far beyond the $5 or $20 most tourists initially hand over. Refuse, and the berating, chasing, and occasional beatdowns begin.

Locals and visitors have long ranked the costume-character cash grab among the Strip’s top tourist traps. Most markes eventually pay just to make the public scene stop. These two didn’t, and paid in bruises instead.

One eyewitness account circulating with the footage put it bluntly: the trio “beat the living sh*t out of them” after the money demand was turned down. Police confirmed the arrests but released no further details on injuries.

It’s the latest flare-up in a long-running sidewalk economy of photo hustlers, superheroes, and feathered freelancers who treat the boulevard like their personal ATM, until someone finally says no.
