Look, parenting is a war crime against your sanity most days, but every once in a while somebody decides the correct move is to sit on the stairs surrounded by spilled roast dinner, scream-swear about her own kids, and then upload the whole thing so the internet can weigh in. That’s the energy here.
The video opens with this woman already at her limit, standing in the hallway with a green dish towel or whatever pressed to her face like she’s trying to smother the rage. One of the kids is apparently walking upstairs and yeeting the food behind them. She’s muttering, “and it walks up the stairs and throws it on the stairs why.” Classic.
She drops onto the stairs like her legs gave out from pure exhaustion. Food’s everywhere—plate half-upside-down, bits of roast and whatever else scattered across the carpeted steps, a fork just chilling there like it abandoned ship too. She’s staring at the mess and just starts free-associating out loud:
“why do I bother is it just my kids that are not fucking normal”
She keeps going, describing the sequence like she’s narrating a nature documentary about feral animals: the kid “goes I wanna eat upstairs,” then “walks up the stairs and throws it on the stairs.” She’s baffled by the physics of the situation—“how can you fall down the stairs when you're walking up the stairs”—while the food continues to exist in places food should not exist.
At one point she straight-up waves it off: “I don’t care my house gets smashed to smithereens while I’m gone.” That’s the quote. That’s the energy. The house can be a crime scene, she’s checked out. Near the end she’s still planted on the stairs, poking at the wreckage on the plate and asking the void, “why do I have kids that are not f*cking normal?”
And the kicker, the part that really separates this from a normal private breakdown, is that she (or whoever was filming) decided this was the moment worth sharing with the world. Not a cute “look at these little monsters” clip. Not even a cleaned-up “mom life is hard” confession. Full volume, full swear words, full “my kids are not normal,” sitting in the actual mess, posted for public consumption.
The internet, as it does, had thoughts. Some people clocked the obvious: kids don’t consent to being the main character in their parent’s public spiral. Others clocked the pure chaos and the very real “I’ve had enough” energy every parent has felt at least once, even if they usually know not to hit record while they’re still sitting at the roast dinner.
Parenting will test you. Sometimes it will test you until you’re on the stairs, covered in food, questioning evolutionary biology. Filming the test and uploading it is a separate choice. This video reminds you that the line between “I need to vent” and “this is now internet content” is thinner than people admit, and once you cross it, the whole staircase full of dinner becomes everybody’s problem.
