A fearless Frenchman has broken the record for fastest bicycle, zooming along at 207 mph thanks to some rocket power. Francois Gissy went on his world record-beating run at a racetrack in Le Castellet in the South of France on Friday, reaching the speed in 4.8 seconds after traveling 250 meters, or about 820 feet. The bike, from Exotic Thermo Engineering, was designed by Gissy's friend, Arnold Neracher. Gissy told Gizmag that it was powered by highly concentrated hydrogen peroxide.
