A 49-year-old man is in custody after he crashed into another car, threatened the other driver and fled from police near Moxee. It happened around 9:30 Saturday morning. Michael Roll is accused of running a stop sign on Beaudry Road and hitting another driver on Beauchene Road. The affidavit says Roll became aggressive when the victim tried to talk to him and write down his license plate number. Court records say he yelled racial slurs at the victim and grabbed a metal piece of molding, holding it in a swinging position. The affidavit says Roll then fled from police when they arrived to the scene. Documents say he reached speeds near 100 miles per hour and was arrested after flipping the car and crashing into a fence in the 4300 block of Thorp Road. He faces charges of assault, hit and run, eluding and driving with a suspended license.
