A scooter rider being held down by police received a swift kick to the crotch from a passerby outside a famous bikers' cafe.
The suspect was being held on suspicion of anti-social behaviour near to the Ace Café in north-west London.
In the clip filmed on a mobile phone, the scooter rider can be seen on the floor surrounded by officers.
A man in a blue T-shirt can then be seen approaching the suspect.
The man gives the scooter rider a kick to the groin in front of the uniformed officers.
An officer then chases after the man as he runs across the north circular road.
Instagram user Premises187 shared the footage on Sunday, writing: 'Haha holy s****. So the police pounced at Ace Cafe.
'An Ace punter boots the scooter guy.'
The youth was later released with no action taken against him.
The man dressed in blue seen in the clip was arrested on suspicion of assault, according to the Evening Standard.
A Met spokesman said: 'At approximately 5pm on Sunday May 21 police were called to a number of mopeds acting in an anti-social manner near the Ace Café.
'On arrival a number of mopeds made off from the scene.
'One male was detained by officers. As police were dealing with him, a second male approached and aimed a kick at him.
'The second male was arrested on suspicion of common assault and subsequently released under investigation. The male originally detained by officers was released with no further action.'
