SUV reverses over three pedestrians trapping one underneath as it rams into high street shop

A SUV reverses across a road at speed and ploughs into three people, before mounting a pavement and nearly driving over them again.



The shocking footage was captured on CCTV in Waltham, Massachusetts, and shows two people start to walk behind a silver vehicle as they cross the road.



But as they reach the pavement, the SUV inexplicably speedily reverses into them and sends one flying face first onto the floor, trapping the other underneath, and then hitting the front of a shop.



An unsuspecting bystander is also hurled into a shop window before landing on the ground with the contents of their carrier bag strewn across the floor.



The car then moves forward, only to stop inches before running over an injured man.



A female and a pedestrian are then seen to groggily stand up, before collapsing again as the passenger of the SUV gets out of the car.



One of the pedestrians had to free himself from underneath, according to Boston TV station WCVB .



Two men and one woman were taken to Newton-Wellesley Hospital with unknown injuries.
