The terrifying moment a car span out of control, smashed into another vehicle and hit a bollard right in front of an ambulance was caught by documentary film crews.
Paramedics were taking a patient to hospital when a car suddenly came hurtling toward them at high speed.
The ambulance driver Jo exclaimed "oh god' as the vehicle narrowly missed them and crashed into the central reservation.
Five people were injured in the serious crash and two more ambulances were called to deal with those involved.
When the car started smoking fire crews were also called to the scene, while the driver climbed out of his window and ran off before police arrived.
