There's been something of a media lockdown over the story of how a 43-year-old man armed with a knife was arrested outside the King’s Leadership Academy, Dingle, at about 2.50pm on Wednesday after he threatened to kill white people outside the school gates.
Afterwards the Police released this statement:
"Officers attended and a 43-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated public order offence and racially aggravated threats to kill. He has been taken to a police station in Merseyside to be interviewed."
The thing about that 'racially aggravated threats to kill.' statement is it doesn't say in which direction the threat was made and as this is the UK we automatically presume the knifeman was white.
