A pop singer suffered a cracked rib after he plunged seven feet through a trapdoor in the stage while performing at a concert in Mexico.
Chilean star Beto Cuevas, 50, was encouraging the crowd to clap their hands to the music when he lost his footing and vanished below the stage at the Arena Mexico in Mexico City.
Music continued to blare out at the arena following the fall but Beto, who made his name as lead singer of Chilean band La Ley before launching a solo career, could not be seen.
Security guards rushed over to helped the performer, who was able to continue his performance despite cracking a rib and fracturing one of his fingers.
