A young couple were subjected to vile racist verbal abuse on a packed train for talking 'in their own language'.
The couple, believed to be Asian, were targeted because a man felt "paranoid" hearing them chatting amongst themselves in a foreign language.
Shocking video footage shows a man shouting on the train believed to be last Friday's 6.45pm service from Stratford to Romford, east London, pretending to imitate the couple, swearing and claiming he's being 'wound up'.
The man says: "F***ing ex army, put up with your f***ing bleurgh bleurgh bleurgh."
Commuters step in and try to defend the couple, with a woman heard telling the man "ignore him", "leave it" and "it's not your country, it's everyone's who is here as well".
Another man is then heard telling the man shouting abuse: "Shut your mouth. Don't you f***ing dare talk to him like that." He later tells the man: "He's more f***ing English than you."
But the man shouting says: "I don't understand a word they're saying, I'm paranoid."
