A 19-year-old woman says she is alive “by the grace of God” after an alleged drunk driver traveling at nearly 80mph smashed into her vehicle in a horrific Michigan crash that split her car in half.
Shocking video from the aftermath shows the mangled remains of the vehicle following the devastating collision at the intersection of Hall Road and Schoenherr Road in Sterling Heights.
The driver, identified as Demi, said she was heading southbound on Schoenherr when another driver allegedly ran a red light at high speed before crashing into her car.
According to Demi, the suspected drunk driver was traveling around 80mph when the impact occurred.
The violent collision reportedly involved three vehicles and left Demi’s car catastrophically destroyed.
Footage from the scene shows debris scattered across the roadway as emergency crews responded to the crash site.
Despite the horrifying damage, Demi said she survived without major injuries.
“I was heading southbound on Schoenherr when a drunk driver ran the red light going 80 mph on Hall Rd,” she said.
“But I walked away with no major injuries by the grace of God.”
Demi was transported to a hospital following the crash, where she was treated and later released.
The dramatic survival story quickly spread online, with many viewers expressing disbelief that anyone inside the destroyed vehicle could have survived.
Others described the crash scene as “miraculous,” pointing to the extreme damage visible in the footage.
