A furious fistfight erupted in the middle of Manila’s busy Ninoy Aquino International Airport after an Israeli passenger claimed an American tourist branded him a ‘Jewish baby killer’ and declared it was a shame Hitler ‘didn’t finish the job’.
Dramatic footage circulating online shows the two men trading punches and wrestling on the terminal floor as stunned travellers look on and airport staff desperately try to pull them apart.
The Israeli, identified as 37-year-old Noam Shimon Rosenberg, and 54-year-old American Kent Scott Lee were both waiting for domestic flights to the popular island of Cebu when the confrontation exploded in the departure lounge.
According to Rosenberg, he overheard Lee mocking his Jewish faith and spitting out the venomous lines: “Jew’s baby killer… Hitler was right, too bad Hitler didn’t finish killing the Jews.”
Enraged, the Israeli allegedly kicked Lee’s trolley bag and struck him. A marble table near a food stall was left damaged in the chaos.
Video captured by onlookers and shared by Israeli activist Hen Mazzig shows the pair locked in a fierce struggle, with Rosenberg appearing on top at one point before bystanders and security intervened.
After the scuffle, Lee can be heard in the footage shouting: “You proved my point; you’re going to jail; you attacked me,” before hurling further insults at the Israeli.
Lee has given a sharply different account, insisting he was the victim of an unprovoked assault. He claims Rosenberg interrupted a private conversation and launched the attack without any racist remarks being made.
Airport police quickly separated the pair and took both men to Pasay City General Hospital for medical checks. Lee even requested an X-ray at his own expense.
The case has now been referred to the Pasay City Prosecutor’s Office, with both men facing possible charges of alarms and scandals under Philippine law.
The ugly incident comes just days after another reported antisemitic attack in the Philippines, in which an Israeli reservist was allegedly assaulted by a Spanish tourist who also screamed ‘baby killer’ and ‘genocide’ accusations.
Campaigners say the Manila airport clash is yet another grim example of open Jew-hatred being dressed up as political criticism – and the shocking video is already sparking outrage around the world.
