Self-Appointed HOA Enforcer Storms Neighbor’s Yard And Beats Palm To Death With Baseball Bat

A suburban homeowner, most likely in Florida, caught a man on camera walking onto someone else’s front lawn and destroying a small palm tree with a baseball bat, and online, some are calling him the local HOA president gone rogue.

The clip, posted Sunday, shows the bearded man in a gray shirt and shorts crossing the sidewalk, stepping onto the property, and going to work on the ornamental palm in a mulch bed near the street. He swings the bat again and again until the trunk snaps and the tree falls. He kicks the stump, gestures toward the house, and walks off.

Versions of the video circulating elsewhere go further, claiming the man is the head of the neighborhood association and that he had given the homeowner a deadline to rip out the palm and replace it with an “approved” tree or face fines. That claim has not been independently verified. No name, no community, and no police report have been made public

.If true, it would turn a petty covenant fight into something uglier: an association official taking enforcement into his own hands with a baseball bat instead of a certified letter.

Even without a title, the legal picture is the same. Walking onto another person’s property and destroying their landscaping is trespass and criminal mischief. HOA boards can fine, send violation notices, and sue. They cannot appoint themselves demolition crews.
