The monster charged with hurling his girlfriend and their infant daughter off a 15th-floor Bronx balcony flashed a demonic grin as cops hauled him away in shackles, smiling at a crowd that screamed “coward” and wished him dead in jail.

Angel Carrasco, 31, showed zero remorse Thursday outside the NYPD’s 49th Precinct in the Bronx as bystanders heckled him during the perp walk. “Coward! Coward!” they yelled. “I hope they f—ing kill your ass in jail.” He answered with a wide, sinister smile and said nothing, according to witnesses and police accounts.

Carrasco is accused of shoving 23-year-old Nathaly Ramirez from the balcony of her Allerton apartment at 2550 Olinville Ave. around 3:40 a.m. Tuesday, while she clutched their 8-month-old daughter. Neighbors heard the pair arguing, then Ramirez pleading, “Stop! You’re scaring the baby!”, before the scream and the sickening impact. She died. The baby, initially critical, survived after her mother’s body cushioned the plunge and remains hospitalized in stable condition.

Sources said Carrasco had shown up with flowers that night trying to patch things up after two earlier domestic arrests involving Ramirez, including a January misdemeanor assault charge for allegedly slapping her. When the reconciliation failed, he allegedly flew into a rage, threw them both over the railing, and fled.

U.S. Marshals and NYPD detectives tracked him down Wednesday night at a friend’s place in the same neighborhood after an acquaintance tipped off the 49th Precinct. He faces charges of murder, attempted murder, manslaughter, attempted manslaughter, and assault. He was later taken for a psychiatric evaluation before court.

Ramirez, a psychology student who had attended Bronx Leadership Academy and interned at a consulting firm, was described by neighbors as a devoted young mother. Her final act, wrapping herself around the infant all the way down, is what investigators believe saved the child’s life. Carrasco’s grin on the way to the patrol car told the rest of the story.
