This is the dramatic moment a woman who couldn't swim was rescued from the roof of a fast-submerging car by a lifeboat crew - after she got trapped as the tide came in.
The woman was stranded on a beach in Cumbria and had to climb onto the roof of her car as the tide rushed in around her.
But teams from Silloth RNLI rushed to her aid after a request was made by Belfest coastguard at 10.41am on Saturday to the beach between Beckfoot and Mawbray.
She was later treated for hypothermia but escaped suffered serious injury.
Maryport Inshore rescue, Maryport coastguard and Cumbria police also responded to the incident.
