CNN and MSNBC showed the controversial July 2nd cover of TIME magazine a combined 33 times on Thursday, often calling it the symbol of the immigration crisis happening along America’s southern border.
The cover features an image of a two-year-old Honduran girl who was reportedly crying because she was separated from her parents due to President Trump’s enforcement of immigration policies.
However, the Daily Mail is reporting that the two-year-old Honduran girl was not separated from her mother after speaking with the girl’s father in an exclusive interview.
According to NTK Network’s research, CNN showed the TIME cover 15 times on Thursday, with CNN’s Brooke Baldwin showing the cover 5 times during her show and MSNBC showed the cover 18 times.
MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” showed the TIME cover 5 times during its broadcast on Thursday.
