A cranky fisherman trying to enjoy a quiet day with his rod and reel got a face full of bear spray from a pack of barely dressed young women, who filmed the whole chaotic showdown and posted it online like they were the victims.
The wild video, which exploded on X Friday, shows the older man in a red shirt and cap, fishing gear in hand and a dog at his side, confronting a group of women in tiny shorts, crop tops, and pink accessories parked along a wooded road.
"Get away from us, please!" one of the women yells in the clip as the man gestures angrily and appears to tell them they're not supposed to be there.
The argument heats up with plenty of back-and-forth shouting. The man eventually turns and starts walking away down the pavement, only for one of the women to whip out a can and blast him with bear mace from behind.
He bends over, clearly in agony, as the group scrambles toward their cars yelling "Get in the car, let's go!"
The poster captioned it: "Man tries to intimidate a group of girls and gets bear maced." But commenters weren't buying the hero narrative, slamming the spray as straight-up assault on a guy who was already backing off.
" He was walking away. That girl just wanted to mace him," one user fumed.
Others ripped the women for their skimpy outfits at what looked like a public fishing spot: "What were those hookers even doing? They are in their underwear out there harassing an old man fishing."
The nearly two-minute clip shows the women, one in pink striped shorts and knee socks, another in a yellow top, holding phones, water bottles, and the spray can while their dogs roam around the vehicles, including a white sedan and silver SUV.
Bear spray is no joke, it's designed to stop 800-pound grizzlies, not retirees with fishing poles. The man is seen stumbling after the hit, clearly suffering. No word yet on any arrests or if the fisherman plans to press charges, but online outrage is calling for the mace-wielding woman to face assault charges, and maybe a lawsuit for the pain and humiliation.
In a world where everyone's filming their own "gotcha" moments, this one backfired spectacularly. Sometimes telling rowdy kids to beat it gets you more than just an earful.
