Mob Surround A Couple Leaving A Restaurant In California And Harass Them Because They Think They're ICE Officials, Turns Out The Man Only Works For The TSA
36 days ago
Activists in Lynwood, California, were caught on video harassing a couple outside a restaurant after wrongly accusing the man of being an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent, underscoring growing concerns over reckless anti-enforcement activism and mistaken identity.
A roughly two-minute video circulating online shows a group of activists confronting the couple as they attempt to leave the restaurant. Protesters can be heard blowing whistles, shouting slurs, and repeatedly accusing the man of working for ICE. The confrontation escalates as the activists block the couple’s path and follow them through the parking lot, refusing to back off despite repeated denials.
The man and woman later confirmed they are not ICE agents at all, but employees of the Transportation Security Administration. During the encounter, they tell the protesters they work for TSA and accuse the group of harassment. As the shouting intensifies, the couple calls local police for assistance.
Officers eventually arrive on scene and work to de escalate the situation as protesters continue chanting and arguing with police. The video captures officers forming a buffer between the couple and the activists, who appear unwilling to accept that they targeted the wrong people.
The incident highlights the increasingly aggressive tactics used by anti-enforcement activists, who critics say are quick to accuse and confront anyone they suspect of being connected to federal immigration agencies. In this case, the accusations were entirely wrong, placing innocent people in a volatile and potentially dangerous situation.
