Viral Video Shows Wealthy Michigan Man Launching Into A Vulgar Tirade Inside Louis Vuitton Store Before Getting Arrested On Hate Crime Charges

A Michigan man is facing multiple criminal charges after prosecutors say he launched into an alleged anti-Islam tirade inside an upscale Louis Vuitton store at Somerset Collection mall in Troy, an incident that was captured on video and quickly spread across social media.
Authorities identified the suspect as 53-year-old Subi Saad of Northville.
According to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office, the incident unfolded on Monday, May 11, when Saad allegedly confronted two men inside the luxury retailer and made what prosecutors described as “vulgar remarks about Islam.”
Investigators also allege Saad told those inside the store that he had a gun in his car during the confrontation.
Video circulating online appears to show the chaotic encounter inside the designer store, where shocked shoppers and employees watched as tensions escalated.
Authorities say Saad was eventually escorted out of the store, but the disturbance allegedly continued in the parking lot.
According to prosecutors, Saad then began “shouting vulgarities” at responding police officers outside the mall.
But the allegations did not stop there.
Investigators claim that after Saad was taken into custody, he allegedly exposed himself to correctional officers while being held at the jail.
A few days later, prosecutors formally charged him with a hate crime, aggravated indecent exposure, and disturbing the peace.
Legal analyst Todd Perkins said the charges, while serious, are unlikely to result in a lengthy prison sentence.
“He’s going to get probation. He’s going to get some treatment, probably some mental health treatment,” Perkins said. “Obviously, some anger management — a variety of things to help him, yet still punish him.”
Perkins also pointed to the lasting impact of viral incidents in the social media era.
“And unfortunately and fortunately, we have the reels that will never go away,” he added. “It’s embedded in social media and embedded in people’s minds that you acted like this.”
The viral footage has generated intense reactions online, with many viewers expressing outrage over the alleged remarks and behavior captured during the incident.
Others focused on how quickly public confrontations inside stores can spiral into criminal investigations once videos begin circulating online.
The case remains ongoing as Saad faces the charges filed by the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office.
