Student Teacher Sends Snapchat Messages About Wanted To Kill Her Student, The FBI Didn't Find It Funny
23 days ago
A 22-year-old student teacher in Washington, Illinois, was arrested after a private Snapchat message threatening violence against a student was reported to authorities, prompting an FBI response and a swift law enforcement investigation.
Michaela Clark, a student teacher, allegedly sent a Snapchat message to three friends in which she threatened to “shoot” a female student who had shut down her computer during a lesson-planning session, according to investigators. While the message was intended for a small circle, one of the recipients took the threat seriously and reported it as credible.
That report set off a chain reaction. Federal authorities were notified, and local law enforcement moved quickly to assess the risk. Officials determined the message constituted a threat serious enough to warrant intervention, leading to Clark’s arrest.
