Australian authorities say they have arrested a sixth suspect in what investigators describe as a sprawling, international child exploitation network with ritualistic and satanic themes, as the scope of the case continues to widen.
Police in New South Wales announced this week that 62-year-old Colin Milne was taken into custody at a home in Woollahra, marking what investigators believe is the final NSW-based arrest tied to the network. Milne’s electronic devices were seized during the arrest.
Milne faces a long list of charges, including multiple counts related to accessing, transmitting, and disseminating child abuse material, along with charges involving bestiality material, animal crush material, drug possession, participation in a criminal group, and refusing to provide passwords to investigators.
He appeared in court Wednesday, where his attorney argued for bail, claiming Milne would be especially vulnerable in custody due to his health status. The magistrate was unmoved. Magistrate Alison Viney denied bail, describing the alleged material as “extremely graphic, violent and depraved,” adding it was the worst she had encountered in two decades on the bench.
Police say the investigation has now identified another 145 suspected offenders overseas. Referrals are being sent to law enforcement agencies across Australia, the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, New Zealand, South America, and Southeast Asia.
The arrest follows a string of high profile developments in recent weeks. Less than two weeks earlier, former award winning NSW police officer David Charles Turner, 42, was charged with offenses related to child abuse material, bestiality material, and drug possession. Turner was denied bail and is due back in court in March.
In November, Strike Force Constantine arrested four additional men, including 26 year old Landon Ashton Versace Germanotta Mills, whom police allege played a leading role in the network. The other suspects arrested were Benjamin Raymond Drysdale, 46, swim coach Mark Andrew Sendecky, 42, and Stuart Woods Riches, 39. All four were charged with similar offenses and refused bail.
According to reports, Drysdale, Sendecky, and Riches were living at the Nunyara Community Offender Support Program, a facility near Long Bay jail that houses men, including convicted sex offenders, after their release from prison.
The task force behind the investigation was formed by the State Crime Command’s Child Exploitation Internet Unit to probe the online distribution of child sexual abuse material linked to ritualistic or satanic imagery. Investigators say that inquiry led them to uncover a Sydney based network allegedly involved in producing, sharing, and facilitating access to the material through an internationally administered website.
Germanotta Mills, a former Network 10 intern who runs a site called Underground Media Network, has publicly described himself as an investigative journalist and has frequently posted far-left political content online. Police allege he played a central role in organizing and maintaining the network.
As arrests continue and international referrals mount, authorities say the case is far from over, warning that the number of suspects connected to the network may continue to grow as investigators work through seized material and cross-border leads.
